What payment options do you offer?

We have three easy ways for you to pay your order online:

  • Card (We accept Visa, Mastercard and Amex!)
  • PayPal
  • Afterpay 

Simply select your preferred payment method at checkout and get ready to love your new purchase!

What size is right for me?

Do you offer Layby?

Great question! We do offer lay-bys in-store only, for orders of $100 or more.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer lay-bys for online purchases, but we do offer Afterpay.

Can I get my order gift-wrapped?

We're so glad you asked!

We would love to wrap your gorgeous gift in our signature DB wrap for a $1 donation to our featured charity.

To get your gift wrapped, simply tick the 'Is This a Gift' checkbox at checkout.

Whoops! I made an error on my order - how do I fix it?

We get it - accidents happen. Please contact us at hello@dearblackbirdboutique.com.au or via call or text on 0478779296 as soon as you've noticed the error.

Please include your Order Number and the info of what you'd like to change and we'll do our best to accomodate your request.

Please note: Refer to our return policy here if you'd like to return an earlier purchase.

What shipping options do you offer?

Within Australia, we offer three shipping options for your convenience and so you can get your Dear Blackbird parcel safely and quickly:

  • Standard Australian Shipping: $9.95* for orders under $200 | FREE for orders over $200
  • Express Australian Shipping: $14.95* for orders under $200 | $5.95 upgrade for orders over $200
  • Pick Up In-Store: Your items can be picked up from our flagship store at 14 Napier Street, Warragul during our opening hours.

*Please note: Additional shipping costs may apply to bulky/heavy orders, in which case we will contact you prior to shipping.

Do you ship overseas?

Yes, - we love spreading the love from Dear Blackbird globally!

For our international customers, we offer:

  • Standard Shipping to New Zealand: $19.95* for orders under $300 | FREE for orders over $300.
  • Everywhere Else: $39.95* for orders under $300 | FREE for orders over $300.
My item hasn't reached me - what do I do?

Oh no! We're so sorry that your Dear Blackbird order hasn't reached you yet.

Please contact us at hello@dearblackbirdboutique.com.au or call or text us on 0478779296 with your Order Number so that we can try and help you track down your parcel.

Please note: We offer Shipping Insurance on all items for $7.95 which can be purchased at checkout. When Shipping Insurance has been purchased, we will immediately issue you a refund or replacement item should the item have been declared lost or stolen by Australia Post.

In the instance where Shipping Insurance was not selected at checkout, we are not responsible or liable for lost or stolen parcels once they leave our boutique. As per Australian Consumer Law, we will work with you and Australia Post to try to locate your lost parcel, but cannot guarantee a refund or replacement if the shipping insurance is not selected. 

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

Can I return my online purchase?

We're sorry your purchase wasn't right for you! Luckily, we do offer returns provided that your item was full price and is returned to us within 10 business days of it’s delivery to you.

Items must be in their original condition, unworn, unwashed and with tags attached.

The funds will be refunded back onto your original payment method (i.e. card, Afterpay or PayPal)

Please note: There is no refund or store credit available for sale items, intimate apparel, swimwear or earrings.

Dear Blackbird reserves the right to refuse a return should it not be in its original condition (as mentioned above). Items that smell heavily of deodorant/perfume, have make up or tan marks on them will not be accepted, so please be careful when trying garments on.

Can I return my purchase in-store?

We're happy to offer you a 100% refund, exchange or store-credit on all full-priced items that have been returned within 10 business days of purchase.

Simply head in-store with your items and we'll sort out the rest. We're happy to refund the funds to the original payment method, add the amount to your account as store credit or exchange for a new item.

How do I return an online purchase?

Our helpful Returns Portal is here to make online returns a breeze.

Simply head to our portal here to start your request - you'll need your order number and your email, phone number or postcode for identification to get the ball rolling.

My purchase was faulty - what do I do?

We're so sorry you received a faulty item! Please email us at returns@dearblackbirdboutique.com.au asap with your order details and images of the fault/s for assessment. 

Gift Vouchers & Store Credit

I received a new plastic DB gift card - how do I use it?

Woo hoo! Someone loves you!

If you've received one of our plastic gift cards, you'll find your unique code on the back of your card, beneath the QR code.

Simply enter that code into the 'Discount code or gift card' section at checkout and proceed to the next step.

If your gift card isn't enough to cover the value of your purchase, you'll be prompted to pay the remainder via credit card, PayPal or Afterpay.

You can also use your gift card in-store, just present it to one of our friendly DB girls at the counter.

I have an old voucher from Dear Blackbird Boutique or the Marigold Merchant. Is it still valid?

Of course! If you have a physical gift card from Dear Blackbird Boutique or The Marigold Merchant that was purchased before our merge on August 12th, 2024, you can still use your gift voucher in-store, simply show it to one of our friendly staff members at the counter.

If you'd like to use your physical gift card for an online purchase instead, contact us at hello@dearblackbirdboutique.com.au.

If you have an online voucher from The Marigold Merchant purchased prior to August 2024, we will have emailed you a new code to use here. If you can't find your email, please get in contact with us at hello@dearblackbirdboutique.com.au.

Our gift cards are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase until the value is depleted.

How do I use a gift card I received online?

In the email you received from your kind gifted you'll find your unique code.

Simply enter that into the 'Discount code or gift card' section at checkout and proceed to the next step.

If your gift card isn't enough to cover the value of your purchase, you'll be prompted to pay the remainder via credit card, PayPal or Afterpay.

You can also use your digital gift card in-store.

How do I purchase a gift voucher?

There's two ways for you to order a gift voucher: in-store and online.

If you're wanting to order a gift voucher online, you can do so here and select the value and checkout. Your recipient will receive the digital gift card via email. (Please note: No physical gift card is mailed when a digital gift card is purchased, but it can be used both in-store and online).

To purchase a physical gift card, head in-store and chat to one of the friendly DB girls! These gift cards can be used both in-store and online.

What do I do if I lose my gift voucher?

Unfortunately, our physical cards work like cash and cannot be replaced if lost, so we recommend keeping your physical card in your wallet or somewhere safe!

For online vouchers, get in contact with us and we'll see if we're able to track down your code for you.

Do you have a VIP program?

In our endeavour to help keep our items buyer friendly and affordable, we no longer offer a VIP program in the traditional sense.

Instead, we're proud to be able to offer customers personalised sneak peaks, special event invitations and offers when they sign up to our email list.

Can I visit you in-store?

We'd love to have you visit Dear Blackbird!

Our store is open at 14 Napier Street in Warragul, VIC (3820). Our opening hours are:

  • Monday - Friday: 9am-5pm
  • Saturday: 9am-2pm
  • Sunday: Closed
